Who runs the studio
Adetayo Book Studio is operated by Adetayo Bello as a sole owner. You can contact me about your information at hello@adetayobookstudio.com.
What I receive
The enquiry form asks for your name, email, book type and requested service. You may also add a word count, publishing platform, deadline and project notes. A book trailer enquiry may include the title, desired length, video format, channels, voice-over preference and available materials. The form does not ask you to upload a manuscript.
If you email or message me, I receive what you choose to include. For an agreed project, I may receive your manuscript, design references, feedback, contact and billing information, and the files needed to do the work.
How I use it
I use these details to respond to you, understand the project, provide a recommendation and quote, prepare an agreement or invoice, and deliver the agreed work. I do not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry.
Services involved
The website form sends your enquiry through FormSubmit to my business email. FormSubmit says it keeps submissions in its archive for 30 days. A copy in my mailbox is handled under the retention periods below. If you choose WhatsApp, your browser opens a prepared chat with your enquiry details; WhatsApp handles that conversation under its own terms.
I am the only person at the studio authorised to access client manuscripts. I store project files with a cloud storage provider and use an email provider to communicate with you. Those providers may process information as part of supplying their services. The website also uses a hosting provider and loads fonts from Google. I do not publish your manuscript or use it in my portfolio without your permission.
Access controls protect the project files, but no online service can promise absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive material through the website enquiry form; we can agree on a suitable file delivery method for your manuscript.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 12 months after our last contact, then removed from my active records.
- Completed project files and related correspondence: up to 24 months after project completion, so I can address file questions and agreed follow-up work.
- Invoices, agreements and transaction records: longer when needed for accounting, tax or legal obligations.
I may remove information sooner when it is no longer needed. If a dispute or legal obligation requires a particular record for longer, I will keep only what is necessary for that purpose. Service providers may maintain their own backups under their policies.
Your choices
Email hello@adetayobookstudio.com to ask what personal information I hold, request a correction, or ask for deletion where applicable. I may need to verify the request and retain records when an obligation requires it. You may also raise a concern with the data protection authority that applies to you.
I will update this notice if the website, services or file handling changes.
